Long time no see friends, family and followers. Happy Plastic Free July! Over the past month I have been transitioning into summer lifestyle and classes to continue earning credits towards my bachelor's degree. I also have been working on a large project involving environmental awareness through purchasing sustainable products and starting my ambassadorship with Pela (@pelacase). In my hometown of Portland, Oregon our city has been protesting for over 2 months regarding the Black Lives Matter movement which is very important, especially the peaceful protests. However many government officials have been ordered here to "maintain" protests many times using force. As I had said previously, 2020 is a crucial year because of the pandemic, the protests for BLM, Pride celebrations, gender equality and raising awareness about Climate Change. All of these involve every human to contribute in every way possible. Enjoy a larger blog post as I have mostly been active on my instagram and will summarize and add more to what's going on with my blog!!

Habitat Botanicals Written Review!
On Instagram I posted about how I received my Habitat Botanicals trial package in the mail! 80% of you responded to my Instagram poll saying we want reviews. Here is the written version :)
-Lip balm- also in a cardboard tube, a little goes a long way as the lip balm contains Candelilla Wax, Cocoa Butter, Avocado Oil, and Vanilla Oil. This could explain why the product is a little greasy from the natural oils however hydrates chapped lips very well.
-Deodorant (coconut vanilla)- first of all my favorite packaging being a cardboard tube that’s easy to push from the bottom to get more product. The scent is really nice and I want to try the lavender, overall a good deodorant if reapplied or used on light days. Darker clothes preferred because of normal deodorant residue. Loved the shea butter inclusion :)
-Aloe Shampoo bar- loved the shampoo bar although there is little scent because of the natural ingredients it definitely cleaned my hair really well. This bar suds up nicely in your hands.
-Tea Tree Body Wash Bar- I also loved the body wash bar I think that these ingredients are easy to suds up in your hand. The bar was gentle and was also easy to shave with!
-Conditioner bar- the conditioner bar could have been better in my opinion. It could get better with more uses because the bar itself is stiff and when it came in it’s little bag it left residue.
-Toothbrush- great option to reduce plastic within my everyday routine! I love the round handle and the soft grooved bristles!
-Summary!!
Overall I loved my package from Habitat Botanicals and my favorite products would have to be the shampoo and body wash bar, the coconut vanilla deodorant as well as the bamboo toothbrush! I would recommend this company because of the packaging specifically, the ingredients are also natural and gentle on skin. I will try the lavender deodorant next and buy more cleansing bars :)
Ending with Mindfulness: Visit a park or green space if possible, or find a plant to destress at home. Nature makes me feel connected to other things besides my personal problems or world problems.
